BACKGROUND: wiki link

In the world of My Hero Academia, 80% of the world's population is born with some sort of Quirk, or 個性 "Kosei," which can manifest as a physical mutation (having extra limbs or animal-like features), or as a superhuman ability. Some notable quirks include super strength, power over gravity, pyrokinesis, and mind control. It started with one child born with a quirk, but then over time, as more and more people began developing quirks, a system was put in place where people would become professional superheroes, working alongside the police in a government-regulated position to fight crime and help assist in times of natural disasters. These "pro heroes" earn a living through their work, and there exist several agencies and training programs dedicated to turning out new generations of pro heroes. The most elite pro hero high school is U.A., a school which only admits the best of the best applicants.

Momo is a first year student at U.A. who was admitted based on recommendations, rather than having to apply via practical exam. She comes from a rich family of famous heroes, so it is no surprise she's among the top tier of U.A. first years.

PERSONALITY:

Momo comes from an elite hero family, which means she carries herself with a composed dignity befitting of her social status, as is to be expected of someone who got into U.A. on recommendations. She has a near-perfect mastery over her quirk, which is already one of the more powerful quirks imaginable, due to its wide range of possible uses. Part of learning to use her quirk also involved memorizing complex chemical structures at a young age, showing how dedicated Momo is academically. She has a keen mind for strategy, though she can sometimes second guess herself and become paralyzed by doubt. During her final exam, she was hesitant to present her plan to her fellow student Todoroki, because she had seen him excel in the Sports Festival, and just assumed his plan would be better than any plan she could come up with. In the end, however, she learned to trust her instincts, and it was Momo's quick thinking that got them through the exam. She has a tendency to compare herself to her peers, and she doesn't always see herself as the leader she wants to be. She's relatively popular, however she still lost the Student Council election to Midoriya, becoming only the Vice Class Representative.

While Momo is first in her class academically, she sometimes falls behind other students in practical tests and competition, often letting herself get distracted by performing analysis of the situation and not thinking or reacting quickly enough. One of her teachers has stated she tends to overly rely on using her quirk, at the expense of combat instincts and quick reactions. She excels in team based exercises, either in leadership or follower roles. She's always willing to help her classmates succeed, offering to tutor some of her less academically-minded classmates before their written final exam. She gets very excited over the prospect of helping her friends, often accidentally bragging about how she'll set out expensive tea for them to drink while they're studying at her family's mansion, seemingly unaware of the financial disparity between herself and her peers. Her somewhat sheltered upbringing means she doesn't always notice when her behavior is a little boasting. She isn't a pampered princess, however, being wholly unafraid to get dirty in the course of action. If her clothes get ruined or torn in the course of hero work, she confidently states that she'll just make new ones!

She is optimistic, always trying to see the meaning in her teachers' lessons; even when she was selected for an internship simply for being cute, she kept a stern focus trying to find value in her mentor's teachings. Unfortunately for Momo, the Snake Hero Uwabami really did just pick her because she would look good in a hairspray commercial. Still, there is more to Momo than just her looks! She can more than back up the reputation she has following her, and the expectations that come with being from a family of famous pro heroes. She works hard to earn the spot she has at U.A., refusing to coast along on her family's name. She memorizes molecular structures and unique chemical reactions to make her quirk more useful in battle. She has a keen scientific mind, and never stops studying to become even smarter and better.

POWER:

Creation (canon power)

Momo's quirk is the ability to create any non-living object by materializing it out of her skin. As long as Momo has an understanding of the item's molecular makeup, she can create it. Bigger items take longer to create, and creating too many items too quickly will leave Momo dangerously underweight, as her body uses her fat cells to make up the objects she creates. As such, she must consume a lot of calories to maintain a healthy weight.

The largest things we see Momo create in canon are a 100mm thick sheet of insulation about 25'x25', a cannon that's about 6' long, and a wooden catapult about the same size (the latter of which she made in addition to two mannequins, two cloaks, and the pictured pile of bandage-like material). Obviously, the more complicated the item, the harder it is to create, so larger items have to be more simple. As for the amount of things she can create, we see her create many matryoshka dolls (with flash grenades inside them) one after another to use as a way to notice when her teacher whose quirk is to negate other people's quirks is near enough to do so. As long as the items are small, she can create a lot of them. I'll say for the purposes of the game she can probably create about 500 golf-ball sized items or 1 small car sized item before she needs to stop and refuel.

Ponytail Hammerspace (non-canon power)

Momo is known for her large ponytail. (Girl's got a lot of hair.) With this new ability, she will be able to store and retrieve objects of any size, shape, or weight within her ponytail. Think of it like a bag of holding in D&D, like there's an extradimensional space located inside her ponytail she can store items in, and recall them when she needs them. The only limitation is that, when she takes her hair down, everything that was stored in there comes tumbling out.

In order to store an item in her ponytail, Momo must be able to physically lift it up there herself, or with the help of one other person. However, once the item is stored, it is weightless until she retrieves it again.

COMMUNITY POST (VOICE) SAMPLE:
Hello. My name is Yaoyorozu Momo. I was told that this network is a good way to find information regarding this country and its imPorts. What are the laws here governing Pro Heroes? Does the American government really allow any imPort, regardless of age or qualifications, to work as a Hero? I want to help, but I want to make sure I don't break any laws.

FINAL NOTES: Regardless of what she is ported in with, Momo will create for herself her hero costume consisting of:
  • A skintight maroon leotard with white trim, low cut and revealing so as to expose as much skin as possible for her quirk to work at maximum capacity
  • A yellow utility belt with a shelf in the back for her...
  • ...encyclopedia of chemical and molecular structures, helpful in a pinch if she needs help looking up what she wants to create!
